Malang Review

A month ago, I went for a vacation in Malang to visit my friends and also to have some refreshing time for myself after finishing my first semester in university. My friends and I planned the trip a month before the date, which was February 16th., and I there stayed for a total of 3 days. While in Malang, I visited some interesting places that I will recommend and write down the reviews below!

Cokelat Klasik Restaurant.
On the first night after I arrived in Malang, we immediately had dinner in Cokelat Klasik, the restaurant itself is focused on their infamous chocolate beverages, which I unfortunately did not try, but my friend who goes there often said that the drinks are good. I originally ordered for a salted egg chicken rice bowl, but my luck flunked on me and my chosen food was not available, so I had to pick something else, and then changed my order to Ayam Geprek Mozarella… Which was a bad idea for my empty stomach at that time to have a dinner because of how spicy it was, but as for the place overall, I would rate it a 2 out of 5, they play nice, ballad music, accompanied with a pretty view of the city lights, maybe because I was too tired at that time that I didn’t really enjoy my time there, but if given the chance I would love to visit the restaurant again.

Nganteb Beach
We went to Nganteb Beach, which was 1 and a half hour away from central Malang, we had to pay Rp. 15.000/person for the entrance fee, and they also give you one mineral water bottle along with the ticket fee, we arrived at 8 a.m and it was still pretty empty, only 5-10 people on sight, the beach was pretty with its white shimmering sands, but the waves were pretty beastly on that day, we stayed there for 40 minutes before driving back to the city to have lunch.

Batu Night Spectacular

On my last night of being in Malang we decided to go to Batu and go to Batu Night Spectacular, a tourist place that only operates at night. BNS combines the concept of shopping centres, games, sports, and entertainment in it. For the entrance ticket we had to pay Rp. 90.000/person, the ticket includes the entrance ticket itself, two attractions ticket, one ticket that you can exchange for a drink and one ticket that you can exchange for meals. My friends and I chose to ride the air bicycles first, and we queued for about 15 minutes before we were able to join the ride. We rode the floating air bicycles and we could see the city views from above and enjoy the night air which it was very fun. After that we had our meals, and went to visit the ghost house. We decided to see the lanterns for our last attraction there so we could get nice pictures, and to enter the lanterns garden, you have to pay a separate fee of Rp. 15.000/person. The garden was very pretty, although kinda crowded with visitors wanting to take pictures. I strongly recommend you to visit BNS if you ever visit Malang as they have a lot of things to enjoy.
